Booking Information

Many events sold out in the last festival and have limited capacity, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Most events will be sold through the festival box office but check events for details.

Booking fees will apply for telephone and online bookings. Charges for card payments and postage charges may also apply. Charges and ticket prices may vary.

Booking Policy

For most events (including some free events), you must book one ticket for each child and each adult. Some free events require advance booking so please check. Adults go free to most workshops. Babes in arms (under 1s) go free to all events, except where stated.

No refunds or exchanges after purchase. Latecomers cannot be admitted. All information is correct at time of print. Young at Art reserves the right to change or cancel events and refuse admission.

Ticket Prices

Ticket prices for most performances are £6 or less. This is a standard rate for Children and Adults but please check the individual event for variations.

Discounts available

A Family ticket (admits 4) is available for most live events.

School/Group discounts reduce ticket prices to around £4 for most events and are available to all schools and groups with no minimum number required.

Through the Friendship Fund, tickets are as low as £2 for schools and groups experiencing hardship.

Free teachers/leaders tickets are provided for schools/groups - one free ticket for every ten tickets purchased.

Free carers tickets (up to a maximum of 5) are provided for groups with members with special needs.

Community Ticketing Scheme

Festival tickets are priced to be accessible to all and we direct special help to communities in need through our Community Ticket Scheme. Contact Young at Art on 028 9023 0660 if you would like to arrange a Community Ticketing event for your centre or group.

Check the Young at Art website for information on special projects running for schools, groups and young people throughout the festival and year-round.

Things to note

Please respect the age guidelines set for each event.

A '+' beside the age means the event has no upper limit.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, except where otherwise stated.

Eating, drinking and use of cameras/mobiles is not allowed during performances.

If you have any special requirements, please tell us when booking.

Please respect the enjoyment of others.

About

The Belfast Children’s Festival is run by Young at Art, a not for profit children's arts organisation. Set up in 1998, its mission is to bring artistic brilliance and adventure to children today and inspire creativity and curiosity for their future. Alongside the festival, Young at Art is working with communities, artists and schools year-round to help children and young people to experience the arts, both local and international.

Volunteer at the Festival

Group discounts are available for all events.
